The US basketball team finally regained glory in the World Basketball arena by beating Spain in the Beijing Olympics Basketball Finals. Although, it was a close fight and the match was only decided in the last few minutes of the game. The Spaniards put up a good fight but was overwhelmed by the Americans.
Spain is the reigning FIBA World Champion.
Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat lead the way in scoring for the Americans with 27 points. Kobe Bryant added 20 points while LeBron James had 14 points. Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony each had 13 points.
